The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP8D Printed Circuit Board (PCB) is a gate drive board. It is part of the Allen-Bradley 1336ST series of boards which are used as drive board replacement parts for the Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS, PLUS II, IMPACT, REGEN, and FORCE variable frequency AC drives. This board and other boards in the series are designed to work as spare parts for Allen-Bradley drives. These PCB boards are engineered and intended to operate with the AC drives which run on 3 to 800 Horsepower. They run on the operating voltage of the specific adjustable frequency drives that they replace. This 1336-BDB-SP8D PCB is situated slightly below the main control board, which also helps in amplifying the low-current input resulting from the power supply which is connected to the main control board. The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP8D board is mounted adjacent to the main control board and also bolted by 8 secure standoff screws. This gate driver board features a fastener torque of 26 pounds on an inch.

The 1336-BDB-SP8D board comes with 6 jumper connectors which include the J2, J7, J8, J9, J10, and J13 connectors, as well as the terminal strips known as the T4, T6, and T7 strips. The TB4 terminal strip placed on this gate drive board is utilized for 24 Volts DC auxiliary input voltage, while the TB7 strip is used by the drive to connect to main control board’s jumper connector, and the TB6 is made for high-voltage ancillary input. No maintenance activity should be executed on the 1336-BDB-SP8D board unless the drive turned off. Even so, it is advisable to check the capacitors on the drive to ensure that they are disconnected and have had enough time to discharge of all voltage because printed circuit boards are sensitive to electrostatic discharge. It is also advisable for the operator to wear the wrist-type grounding strap when installing or replacing these parts.
