The 1336-BDB-SP69C board is a spare part for the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1336 family of adjustable frequency drives.  This spare part is a PCB gate drive board that supplies power to the main control and isolation boards of drives like the 1336 Force (T) and Impact (E) drives. This PCB unit can be used with a voltage rating of 460 Volts AC and it comes with an 800 Horsepower rating. The normal operating frequency of the PCB gate driver is 50 to 60 Hertz. The 1336-BDB-SP69C gate drive PCB is an amplifier device that converts a lower power input into a high drive current that is used by the IGBT brake.  The unit is installed on a mounting plate located between the main control board and the chassis. Interconnection to other boards and circuitry is accomplished through a terminal block mounted on the boards and fast-connect jumper wires and ribbon cables.

The input and output power connections are made through terminal block TB1 on the 1336-BDB-SP69C gate drive board for drives with Frame Size B (rated at 1 to 15 Horsepower and 240 Volts, 1 to 30 Horsepower and 380 Volts, or at 1 to 20 Horsepower and 600 Volts). Drives with higher horsepower ratings (frame sizes C, D, E, G, and H), the TB1 terminal blocks are located on the bottom of the drive. During the removal of the 1336-BDB-SP50C board, the drive board mounting plate must be removed first.  Ensure that lockout power is disconnected from the drive before disassembly. Verify the presence of voltage by measuring the +DC and -DC on Terminal block TB1. Initiate drive service only when the bus voltage has been discharged to Zero (0) volts. Typical errors that may require gate drive board replacement are an error display EE INIT READ 53 message or when bus voltage is not present even if power is applied.
