The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP82D is a high-performance microprocessor-based field focused control (FOC) AC driver that controls Force technologies ™. The 1336-BDB-SP82D driver is designed to be a low-cost driver for standalone operation and applications. The drive is user-friendly and it covers an easy-to-use launch array for easy boxed installation.

The Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP82D drive is part of Rockwell Automation’s comprehensive performance series and part of a high-performance drive group. The 1336-BDB-SP82D has a non-programmable input that is dedicated to the hardware activity of the driver at Terminal 30 and this input must be there before the driver starts running. When the user turns this input on, it will shut off the output of the driver regardless of the programmed stop mode and as a result, it uses a coastal stop braking method. The 1336-BDB-SP82D’s Digital Input (DI) 0 can be programmed for all the available digital input functions, including DI Activation. The hardware enables jumper on the 1336-BDB-SP82D drive’s master control board can be removed so that DI 0 can be enabled without any software interpretation. The 1336-BDB-SP82D must be connected in a certain way so that when it is delivered in a NEMA Type 1 enclosure, there is an adequate place for heat distribution on the top, side, and front of the 1336-BDB-SP82D’s cabinet.

The 1336-BDB-SP82D drive, like other Allen-Bradley 1336 AC drives, is customizable with dozens of optional features. The drive’s enclosure can be custom-painted and labeled, it can handle a variety of Analog I/O configurations and communication ports, and it is UL-recognized.
