The Allen-Bradley 1336-SN-SP1B Converter and Inverter Snubber Board Kit is a stand-alone converter and inverter board replacement kit for the Allen-Bradley 1336 Plus, Plus II, Force, and Impact drives. This device helps to limit and reduce the voltage transient rise (DV/DT) in the 1336 drive’s converter and inverter module circuits, and it is installed on the side of the bridge heatsink in both the inverter and converter bays of the drive. The 1336-SN-SP1B Board Kit is designed for the Allen-Bradley 1336 Impact, Plus, Plus II, and Force AC drives with 460 Volts AC input voltage ratings. This kit can be used as a replacement for the drive’s converter and inverter snubber boards. It is compatible with all the frames of the 1336 Plus, Plus II, Force, and Impact drives except drives with 30 to 45 Kilowatts (40 to 60 Horsepower) output ratings. The 1336-SN-SP1B Converter and Inverter Snubber Board Kit contains 2 snubber boards (1 each for the inverter and converter), and it is field-installable.



 



Each 1336-SN-SP1B Converter and Inverter Snubber Board Kit can be installed easily on the converter or inverter bay of the 1336 drive, and the position of the converter or inverter bay may vary depending on the 1336 drive model. To install the 1336-SN-SP1B Converter and Inverter Snubber Board Kit, first, remove the screws fastening the old snubber board to the bus bar. Next, attach the bus bar terminal to the new snubber board kit (the 1336-SN-SP1B Board Kit), and fasten it in place with the 15 factory-supplied screws. Check the 1336 FORCE-6.2, 1336 IMPACT-6.2, or 1336 PLUS-6.2 troubleshooting publications for more information on the replacement and installation processes.
