The Allen-Bradley 1336-SN-SP23A inverter and converter snubber board assembly is a PCB inverter and converter snubber board for stand-alone (SA) Allen-Bradley 1336 Plus II, Plus, Impact, and Force variable frequency drives. The 1336 drives snubbers help suppress voltage transients, and they are located on the power module snubber board and the input rectifier snubber board. Based on the drive’s type, design, and series, the location of the snubber board may vary (both power and input rectifier snubber boards). The 1336-SN-SP23A power module snubber board is generally located on the topmost side of the drive’s main chassis, and the input resistor snubber board is located just under the gate drive board mounting plate within the circuit board platform.

The 1336-SN-SP23A snubber board is shipped as an assembly package containing a spare snubber board, fastening screws, and an easy-to-understand installation manual. It is made for the 460 Volts AC rated circuits, and it is ideal for the C Frame drives with X40 Horsepower to X60 Horsepower output ratings and 78 Amps current ratings. The snubber board is tested for optimal working conditions by testing the diodes with a testing meter and then comparing the reading to standard readings. To install, disconnect the drive from a power source drive and check for the absence of voltage on the TB1 terminals. Remove the drive’s enclosure, the precharge board mounting plate, and the inverter assembly. Detach the jumper connectors on the surface of the board and gently remove the old board, and replace it with a new one by following the same steps in the reverse order of the removal process.
