sThe Allen-Bradley 74101-169-55 is the base driver board for Frame D drives belonging to the 1336 PLUS/PLUS II/FORCE/IMPACT/REGEN AC drive families which are rated at 125 Horsepower and 460 Volts AC. The alternate part number for the 74101-169-55 is the 1336-BDB-SP31D. The 74101-169-55 replaces the obsolete 1336-BDB-SP31A and 1336-BDB-SP31C PCBs. The 74101-169-55 PCB is available as a replacement part. One 74101-169-55 PCB kit is required per drive. Due to the presence of extremely high voltage levels inside operating drives, Allen-Bradley has made the following recommendations to ensure personnel safety and prevent equipment damage: maintenance activities should be performed by a technical staff that is trained and is familiar with the operation and troubleshooting of high-voltage AC drives, and the staff should perform maintenance activities either with the aid of the guidance provided in a service manual or with the manufacturer’s assistance.
To ensure the safety of technical service personnel, Allen-Bradley also recommends that the power to the drive should be switched off before the removal or installation of a faulty 74101-169-55 PCB kit. Maintenance and troubleshooting activities should be delayed until the bus voltage drops to 0 Volts (the bus voltage measurement can be performed at +DC/-DC brake terminals). A grounded wrist strap (connected to drive chassis) should be worn by service personnel to prevent possible damage to ESD-sensitive drive parts. All guards should be replaced before power is reapplied to the drive. Faulty PCBs should be placed inside conductive packets after removal from the drives.
