The Allen-Bradley 74101-169-64 is a PCB Gate Drive Board used with various adjustable frequency drives. With 5 frame models, specifically Frames A, B, C, D, and E, this board has a 575V AC voltage rating and a 125 HP rating. Note that the 74101-169-64 board has an alternative part number, which is 1336-BDB-SP34D. These 1336 drives have input power ratings that range from 200 to 600V AC and its outputs have frequency ranges of 0 to 650 Hz and carrier frequencies of 2 to 12 kHz. They also have typical efficiencies of 97.5%, which is applicable to all drives in the 1336 series, but only Frame B drives feature input inductors. Also found on 1336 drives are various safety features, such as power ride through, logic ride through, overload capability of 150% for 60 seconds (applicable for heavy-duty operations), and transient protection. When using a 1336 drive, even with the 74101-169-64 board installed, make sure that its location has a temperature of 0 to 50°C but when storing it, temperatures can go as low as -40°C and as high as 70°C.

Used for different kinds of operations, 1336 drives have 5 different types, and these are IMPACT, PLUS, PLUS II, CLASSIC, and FORCE and all of these can accommodate the 74101-169-64 Gate Drive Board. General performance applications are ideally used with CLASSIC, PLUS, or PLUS II drives, while heavy-duty operations should make use of FORCE and IMPACT drives. All these types of drives are equipped with a hardware drive enable, which users should place at the drive’s non-programmable input found at Terminal 30. If users open the input, the drive will do a ‘coast to stop’ instead of doing the stop mode set on the drive. It will also detect if the input is present before it will start up.
