The Allen-Bradley 74101-482-52 drive by Rockwell Automation is a gate driver PC board that was previously known as the Allen-Bradley 1336-BDB-SP18D gate driver board. This board can be used with the Allen-Bradley 1336 series of drives that have A, B, C, D, or E frames and 50 HP or 78 A ratings, with only 1 board installable per drive. The input voltage of the 74101-482-52 board is 460V AC. Five kinds of drives are available in the 1336 family of drives, which are the PLUS, CLASSIC, FORCE, PLUS II, and the IMPACT drives, and their HP ratings range from a minimum of 3 to a maximum of 800 HP. Note that it is possible to use the 74101-482-52 board for any of these kinds of drives. The PLUS, CLASSIC, and PLUS II drives are ideally used for general performance operations, while the IMPACT and FORCE drives are for high-performance operations. The 74101-482-52 gate driver board can enhance all of these operations. These drives typically have a NEMA Type 1, 4, 12 enclosure rating.

All 1336 drives are equipped with a variety of safety features, such as protection against output short circuits, motor overload, output ground faults, and against under voltage and over voltage. They also come with a UL panel recognition, analog I/O, single-point RIO, DeviceNet ports, Enhanced DeviceNet ports, and RS232/422/485 ports, among other options. The human interface modules (HIM) on these drives can come in either blank, programmer, analog, and digital kinds. The hardware enable is standard on these drives and are located at the drive’s Terminal 30, which is a non-programmable input. When interrupted, the drive stops its operation and undergo a ‘coast to stop’, ignoring the normal stop mode that the operator set.
