The Allen-Bradley 74101-482-61 is a PC board gate drive board used with certain Allen-Bradley 1336 adjustable frequency drives. To be specific, this board is used with drives that have frame sizes of A, B, C, D, or E and have 30 HP output ratings and it has an input voltage of 575V AC. Note that the 74101-482-61 drive board is also known as the 1336-BDB-SP21D drive board. The 1336 series of drives are available in 5 different types and these are the CLASSIC, PLUS II, FORCE, PLUS, and IMPACT drives and operators can use the 74101-482-61 drive board for any of these types. They are good for use with AC drives with HP ratings ranging from 3 to 800 HP. Operators can use the PLUS II, the PLUS, and the CLASSIC drives for general performance applications, while the IMPACT and the FORCE drives are better for use with high-performance operations. Safety features present on 1336 drives include protection against under voltage and over voltage, output ground faults, output short circuits, and motor overload. These drives also feature a hardware enable located in the non-programmable Input Terminal 30 of the drives. When this particular input is interrupted, it causes the drive to ignore the previously set stop mode and to do a ‘coast to stop’ instead.

Available on 1336 drives, including the drives using the 74101-482-61 drive board are a UL panel recognition and different communication ports, including RS232/422/485 ports, Enhanced DeviceNet ports, analog I/O, DeviceNet ports, and single-point RIO. They also have a typical enclosure rating of NEMA Type 1, 4, 12 and programmer, blank, digital, and analog human interface modules (HIM).
