About SP-140147

The SP-140147 kit is an Allen-Bradley-manufactured precharge switch kit. It comes with a voltage rating of 460 Volts. The normal power rating of the switch kit ranges between 40 and 50 Horsepower. It is used with the Allen-Bradley 1336 drives. Precharge in high-voltage systems is the initial mode that limits the inrush current during the power up process. Precharge switches are used to increase the lifespan of different electronic components and increase the reliability of different high-voltage systems. The SP-140147 kit is used to limit the inrush current without making changes to the operating current. It is also used as a safety measure to protect the input capacitors that can be damaged by the inrush current. The precharge switch kit can only be set up and used in a clean and dry environment with zero traces of EMC noise. It should not be exposed to sources of high heat. The environmental temperature should be set between 0 and 60 degrees Celsius.

The Allen-Bradley SP-140147 precharge switch kit is used in the Allen-Bradley 1336 series industrial drives. The 1336 drive series is an adjustable frequency drive series. These drives are used to control and regulate the torque of 3-phase induction motors. The 1336 drives support both single and 3-phase electrical circuits. The drive features industry standard motor control algorithms including Volts per Hertz control, sensorless vector control control, and Vector control with Force Technology. The SP-140147 precharge switch kit protects the input capacitors, the main fuse, the battery cells, and the other electronic components from high inrush currents. The precharge switch kit is CE approved and certified with different industrial and electrical standards.
