The 1336S-BRF10-AN-EN-L4 drive is one of Allen-Bradley’s 1336 PLUS adjustable frequency AC drives. It comes with a voltage of 380 to 480 Volts and a contact control interface that is powered by an internal +5 Volts DC supply. This facilitates the identification and consequent correction of the any problem that causes a trip to the drive by just one press of a key, cutting out the guesswork. It has an open kW (Horsepower) rating of 0.75 kW (1 Horsepower). Just like most adjustable AC drives, the 1336S-BRF10-AN-EN-L4’s input power installation is conditional on three aspects. The first is the frequency of outages and/or erratic power flows. The second is if there is a neutral line connecting it to the ground. The third is if there is a power factor capacitor connected to the line that is supposed to supply power to the drive. If those conditions are not met, then before the installation of the drive, an isolation transformer should first be installed to protect the drive.

The incorporation of an additional fitting of an RFI filter helps to control emissions arising from radio frequency. Note that this is only applicable where sensitively oriented devices are attached to the supplying cables. The 1336S-BRF10-AN-EN-L4 allows for the use of unshielded cables in the dry areas while ensuring that there is free air circulation. Shielded cables are used when there are devices that are sensitive and that are connected to the machinery that uses the motor. Connections made on the ground are less noisy than connections made from the phase to the line. Although improved versions have been produced, the 1336S-BRF10-AN-EN-L4 drive is still a top performer and highly recommended.
