The 1336S-BRF50-AN-EN4-L5 drive is a compactly packaged drive solution from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It automates a manufacturing system by changing the frequency of the input voltage as required by 3-phase induction motors. The drive provides outstanding performance during operation. The drive uses advanced hardware and it is efficient with the output. The 1336S-BRF50-AN-EN4-L5 drive has a real-time diagnostics feature with preventive maintenance. The diagnostic results can be customized and reports can be generated as required by the users of the drive. Serial communication is used for communication. The drive uses laminar bus design which helps to reduce internal inductance which in turn reduces snubber losses and improves the IGBT performance of the drive. Multiple sensors are present in the drive to alert different system events.

The 1336S-BRF50-AN-EN4-L5 drive is equipped with a microprocessor-controlled heatsink thermistor. The thermistor monitors the temperature of the drive and it trips the drive if it detects overheating inside the drive. This saves the drive from further damage due to overheating. The drive has received independent C-UL certification for dual US and Canadian certification for operation. It has been designed to meet the EN, IEC, and VDE standards. The 1336S-BRF50-AN-EN4-L5 drive uses a sine-coded PWM with programmable carrier frequency for control purposes. The slip compensation feature is used in this drive. It is based on the programmed motor flux instead of on the drive’s rated amps which provides more accurate speed regulation. The dynamic response to load changes is parameter-adjustable. The slip compensation feature enhances torque performance at all speeds. An operator interface module is also present on the front of the drive. The module has a small supertwist LCD which can display 2 lines and 16 characters of information at a time.
