The 1336S-EN is an English Language Module Kit for Allen-Bradley’s 1336 PLUS Drives. Every Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS drive comes designated with catalog number; the fifth position of this code number is reserved to describe default language installed on the drive. For example, “EN3” part of the code implies that the English language with firmware V3.04 is installed, or “EN4” implies that the English language with firmware V4.xx is installed. During a time there were multiple 1336S-EN module firmware releases, so pay attention to this detail if a specific 1336S-EN series or firmware is required. This module is composed of a small-sized compact plastic enclosure in which there is a PC board with a chip holding all the language data. This module is connected to the 1336 PLUS drives over a 30-pin connector; just slide these pins, together with the 1336S-EN module, onto the main circuit board. The position for this module installation is generally close to the HMI module on the main circuit board; there may be situations during the usage of the 1336 PLUS drive in which the 1336S-EN language module will require replacement. This might be the case when for the Motor Mode Flt (alarm no. 24), Power Mode Fault (alarm no. 26), or ROM or RAM Flt (alarm no. 68), if these are installed on the drive. On the 1336 PLUS drives, the parameter used for selection between English and the alternate language for the human-machine interface display is numbered 47. This is a brick styled module for the 1336 PLUS Drives and its approximate shipping weight is 0.021 kilograms (0.046 pounds).
The 1336 PLUS and 1336S series of Allen-Bradley Adjustable AC Drives provide the speed control capabilities for industrial environments. Each motor has variable control through the Three-Phase Induction features. The drives provide a Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV), which offer protection against surge and Phase-to-Phase group protection. Most 1336S drives are suitable for direct connection to an AC line of the correct voltage. Many of the 1663 PLUS drives feature Control Interface Options that are engineered for the various needs of the user. Some of these features are: Contact Closure, Contact Closure with Encoder Feedback Inputs, and various +24V AC/DC Interface options. Users can control and operate the drive through an HMI display panel.
