The Allen-Bradley 1336F-AE6 is a modern drive which is engineered to comfortably operate power supply systems with three-phase voltage and with line voltage which are symmetrically designed. The surge suppression devices that are available in the drive offer the best protection for the 1336F-AE6 drive from lightning-induced overvoltage between the ground and line. The drive also has a Metal Oxide Varistor (MOV) which ensures consistent surge voltage protection and phase-to-ground and phase-to-phase safety which is made to meet the IEEE 587 standards. The MOV circuit is modeled for the surge suppression-only, but not for continuous operation.

While using the 1336F-AE6, users must take care not to go beyond the published phase-to-ground or phase-to-phase energy ratings since that might lead to critical physical damage to the system. It is worth noting that the drive is mainly manufactured to be directly connected to an AC line of the ideal current. However, certain things can happen that trigger the consideration for the isolation transformer or the line reactor ahead of the 1336F-AE6 drive. If it happens that the AC source encounters a consistent power outage, then the users are advised to ensure that maximum voltage is not surpassed since that may lead to overvoltage faults, input fuse blowing, or drive power structure damage. The 1336F-AE6 can be installed with either an input circuit breaker or input fuses. Users must know that the drive does not issue input power short circuit protection.
