The Allen-Bradley 1336F-AQF07-AF-EN is a variable speed drive. The drive is part of the Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS II family of variable speed drives. The 1336F-AQF07-AF-EN, as with other drives in this family, can be programmed by using a drive mounted human-machine interface module (HMI) or a handheld human-machine interface module. Note that the handheld HMI is interfaced with the drive by using an option cable. Additionally, take note that a drive-mounted HMI cannot be disconnected while the drive is in operation, but a handheld HMI can be removed even when the drive is running. Whether the is drive mounted or handheld, the HMI features an LCD and keys to help navigate and set the parameters to achieve precise motor control. Some of the keys available on the HMI are the ESC (escape), SEL (select), increment/decrement, and Enter keys.

Other keys that are available to control the Allen-Bradley 1336F-AQF07-AF-EN include the Start key which commands the drive to start running if no stop signals are coming from other control devices, the Stop key which obviously causes the drive to stop, the Jog key which jogs the drive in regards to the set jog frequency, and the Change Direction key which cause the drive’s speed to go down to zero before ramping up to the set speed in the opposite direction. When the Allen-Bradley 1336F-AQF07-AF-EN is first connected to a power source, the HMI shows the drive’s name, the HMI ID number, and the communication status, and after that, it will indicate whether the drive is running or stopped or whether it has experienced a fault or an alarm. The 1336F-AQF07-AF-EN supports an enclosure with an IP65 rating.
