It has been designed and developed by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It has an AC input voltage range of 200 to 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz but it can also operate with a DC input voltage rating of 310 Volts DC. Its essential function is to regulate the frequency and voltage of an electric induction motor smoothly and to control the motor’s speed based on the needs of the application.
