The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B015-AA-EN-HCS2-L4 drive is an advanced digital type of adjustable frequency drive. It is widely used for controlling motors in industrial and commercial applications. The Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS II drive series to which the drive belongs supports sensorless vector control with full tuning for advanced motor control. The 1336F-B015-AA-EN-HCS2-L4 drive also supports Volts per Hertz control with full custom capabilities and the sine-coded PWM frequency control option. The PWM frequency is configurable anywhere from 2 to 8 kilohertz. The drive’s nominal output power rating of 15 Horsepower is based on 4 kilohertz of PWM frequency. The 1336F-B015-AA-EN-HCS2-L4 adjustable frequency drive is designed for direct connection to an AC power supply that can provide it with 380 to 480 Volts AC input voltage. Input conditioning and isolation may be required if the AC power supply contains transients or frequency outages.

The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B015-AA-EN-HCS2-L4 1336 PLUS II series adjustable frequency drive supports protection from high and low AC input voltage ratings. The trip setting for AC overvoltage is 570 Volts AC and the trip setting for AC undervoltage is 280 Volts AC. The nominal DC bus voltage rating is 648 Volts DC. The trip setting for DC overvoltage is 810 Volts DC and the trip setting for DC undervoltage is 400 Volts AC. Technicians should only work on the 1336F-B015-AA-EN-HCS2-L4 drive after it is switched off and the DC bus capacitors are discharged completely. Failure to follow this precaution can lead to electric shock and even death. Allen-Bradley has provided test points on terminal block 1 (TB1) of the drive where the DC bus voltage can be measured with a multimeter. The 1336F-B015-AA-EN-HCS2-L4 drive comes in an IP 20 rated NEMA Type 1 enclosure for protection. The HMI for the drive is a programmer/controller HMI with a digital potentiometer and upload/download capabilities. The control interface is a TTL contact interface.
