The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B015-AN-EN-GMS1-L5 1336 PLUS II series drive is an adjustable frequency drive. The frequency at the output of the drive can range from 0 to 400 Hertz. The output of the AC drive is connected to a synchronous motor. A synchronous motor is a motor for which the shaft speed is synchronized to the frequency of the input current. This drive is used to control the speed and torque of synchronous motors. The 1336F-B015-AN-EN-GMS1-L5 drive is rated for 15 Horsepower or 11 kilowatts of nominal output in the constant torque operating mode. The nominal output rating is also only valid for 3-phase AC input voltage and 4 kilohertz of PWM carrier frequency. Single-phase AC input voltage causes 50% output derating. The PWM carrier frequency can also vary depending on application requirements. The input voltage rating of the 1336F-B015-AN-EN-GMS1-L5 drive is 380 to 480 Volts AC for both 3-phase and 1-phase AC voltage.

The protective enclosure of the Allen-Bradley 1336F-B015-AN-EN-GMS1-L5 1336 PLUS II series adjustable frequency drive is open and it can withstand an ambient temperature range of 0 to 50 degrees Celsius. The protection rating of the drive enclosure is IP 00. This means that the drive is not protected from dust or liquids. Allen-Bradley recommends mounting the 1336F-B015-AN-EN-GMS1-L5 drive inside a control cabinet for additional protection. The drive comes with 4 holes on the enclosure to make mounting easy. The diameter of each of the 4 mounting holes is 12.7 millimeters. The communication module installed on the 1336F-B015-AN-EN-GMS1-L5 supports single-point remote I/O communication. The control interface on the drive is rated at 24 Volts AC/DC. An HMI is not included on the 1336F-B015-AN-EN-GMS1-L5 drive, but a wide range of compatible HMI options are available separately. The drive should be installed and operated by trained personnel only.
