The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B020-AA-FR adjustable frequency drive is a 1336 PLUS II series AC-powered motor control drive that is used in various automation applications to control compatible variable speed motors. It controls the motor that is connected to with its adjustable frequency, which it uses to change the speed and torque of the motor during operation. The specific speed and torque changes that the drive can handle must be programmed into it before it is installed and used so that all the speed and torque variations will meet all of the motor system and application requirements. The 1336F-B020-AA-FR drive comes with an insulated gate bipolar transistor or IGBT whose main objective is to provide quiet motor operation through programmable carrier frequency. It also includes multiple sensors that work as dynamic current control devices and provide it with the ability to start low-inductance motors and the ability to reduce tripping at the same time.

The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B020-AA-FR 1336 PLUS II series adjustable frequency drive comes with an IP 20 rated enclosure which is equivalent to a NEMA Type 1 rated enclosure. The drive comes with a French-language module that will cause any optional interfaces that are connected to the drive to operate in either French or English. The 1336F-B020-AA-FR drive does not include a human-machine interface, a control interface, an analog interface, or a communication module, and so external interfaces must be purchased separately and installed by the users if they are required. This drive’s built-in special features include a speed-sensitive electronic overload protection feature and a selectable fault reset and run feature. The drive also comes with a process PI controller feature and an auto-tuning option. The 1336F-B020-AA-FR drive needs to have clearances of 6 inches above and below it and clearances of 4 inches on either side of it to promote ventilation. The drive must not be mounted on a combustible surface unless spacers are provided under the mounting feet of the drive.
