A conformal coat is a thin polymeric film that is applied to the drive’s circuit boards for protection against dust and chemicals. The conformal coat on the circuit boards allows the drive to be used in some adverse conditions. The housing of the 1336F-B030-AE-EN-L4-MX3 drive is EMC-compatible. This means that the drive housing prevents the radiation of any EMI (electro-magnetic interference) or RFI (radio frequency interference) that could damage other devices in the vicinity.
