The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-HCS2-L5 is a high-performance motor control drive for 3-phase AC induction motors that was designed and developed by Allen-Bradley in the 1336 PLUS II series. It offers smooth motor control, high-performance motor operation, and optimum efficiency in motor control applications requiring voltage ratings between 380 and 480 Volts AC. Key features of this 1336 PLUS II series drive include 7 preset speeds, proactive current limit, slip compensation, and S curve acceleration and deceleration profile features. The drive's proactive current limit capability, which protects the controller and motor from persistent overloads, is programmable from 20 to 160% of the drive's variable torque-rated output current. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-HCS2-L5 is available in a Size C frame and a NEMA Type 1 IP 20 enclosure. A snap-in HMI module with a digital speed potentiometer is included as a standard option with the drive. The drive’s operators can also upload and download programming parameters to and from the drive through the HMI.

The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-HCS2-L5 1336 PLUS II series motor control drive operates with a current overload capacity of 115% for 60 seconds in variable torque applications and a current overload capacity of 150% for 60 seconds in constant torque applications. When operating in constant torque applications, the maximum nominal Horsepower rating of the 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-HCS2-L5 drive is 40 Horsepower (30 kilowatts). The drive has dynamic braking capabilities which provide the drive with greater braking torque capabilities and which results in faster and more controlled motor braking. Additionally, the 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-HCS2-L5 drive offers separately programmable and customizable acceleration and deceleration times that can be set to anywhere from 0 to 3600 seconds in 0.1-second increments. A DeviceNet-to-SCANport communication interface module is also included with the 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-HCS2-L5 drive, and so is a 24 Volts AC/DC control interface module.
