The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-LA5 motor control drive is an AC-powered 1336 PLUS II series adjustable frequency drive. It does not feature a factory-installed HMI module. The users must therefore either install a blank cover plate to protect the HMI slot on the drive from dirt and moisture or install an optional HMI module. Installing a blank plate or an optional HMI is also critical for preventing accidental access to live drive parts. The drive has 2 slots for analog I/O interfaces that are known as Slot A and Slot B. Slot B on the 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-LA5 drive features an analog interface module that supports 1 input channel and 2 output channels. The input channel is isolated and it is a pulse input. One of the output channels is non-isolated and it is a pulse output. The second output channel is single-ended, non-isolated, and configurable. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-LA5 drive also includes a DeviceNet communication interface. The DeviceNet protocol is a communication protocol developed for quick data transfers in industrial automation applications.

The Allen-Bradley 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-LA5 1336 PLUS II series motor control drive is designed to operate in English by default but it can support other operating languages through optional modules that support different languages. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-LA5 drive is supplied in an IP 20-rated NEMA Type 1 enclosure for protection from small amounts of dirt. The drive weighs about 38.6 kilograms. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-LA5 drive is meant to be mounted vertically. Four mounting holes are provided on the drive’s enclosure and each hole has a 19-millimeter diameter. The drive’s height is 701 millimeters, its depth is 93 millimeters, and its width is 301 millimeters. With a 3-phase AC input voltage rating between 380 and 480 Volts AC, the 1336F-B040-AA-EN-GM5-LA5 drive delivers up to 40 Horsepower of nominal output to the connected motor. To protect the motor, Allen Bradley recommends using a 100 Amps rated optional motor circuit protector. An optional isolation transformer and a fuse or circuit breaker can also be used for drive input protection.
