The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HASP-LA2 motor control drive is an advanced type of AC-powered industrial drive from the Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS II series. Allen-Bradley has designed it for controlling a wide range of industrial motors. The drive output connects to the motor input of the motor that it is intended to control. The function of the drive is to control the motor’s operating speed, position, and torque. If a motor circuit protector is installed at the drive’s output, it can help to protect the motor from overcurrents. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HASP-LA2 drive does not come with built-in input-side short-circuit protection features. However, the operators can install either a fuse or a circuit breaker with the appropriate current ratings to protect the drive from input short-circuits. All of the relevant current ratings for the compatible input side fuses, circuit breakers, and for the output-side motor circuit protectors are provided by Allen Bradley in the manual for the 1336 PLUS II series drives. The 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HASP-LA2 drive cools itself down via natural convection.

To ensure smooth airflow, the Allen-Bradley 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HASP-LA2 1336 PLUS II series motor control drive must be adequately separated from other devices in the system or vicinity. The temperature of the air that surrounds an operating 1336F-B040-AA-EN-HASP-LA2 drive should be between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius. This requirement is based on the NEMA Type 1 or IP 20-rated protective enclosure of this drive.
