The Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS II series 1336F-B040-AA-IT motor control drive is a low-voltage general-purpose motor control drive. It offers excellent speed and torque control to induction motors, and it is designed to provide superior vector performance. The small dimensions and sensorless vector control technology of the 1336F-B040-AA-IT drive provide it with optimal performance for industrial and commercial motor control applications. Its sensorless vector control technology and Volts per Hertz control technology can be selected and adjusted through programming. Furthermore, the drive also supports a 150% overload capacity for 1 minute for constant torque applications and a 115% overload capacity for 1 minute for variable torque applications. The 1336F-B040-AA-IT motor control drive features 2 independently programmable acceleration or deceleration times of 0 to 3600 seconds each. Other key features of the drive include DC braking, auto-tuning, 7 preset speeds, configurable carrier frequencies, PID control, slip compensation, and speed-sensitive electronic overload protection features.

The Allen-Bradley 1336 PLUS II series 1336F-B040-AA-IT motor control drive features a built-in dynamic braking feature that uses electrical resistance to slow down the connected motor. It also has a configurable current limit that ranges from 20 to 160% of the rated output current. The 1336F-B040-AA-IT drive supports an internal Class 10 adjustable and speed-sensitive overload protection feature that it uses to protect its components and the connected motor or motors during operation. The drive has a SCANport communication port that can be used to host devices for monitoring faults such as power loss, undervoltage, overvoltage, motor overload, phase to phase faults, ground faults, heatsink overheating, and load loss faults. It is also possible to install a compatible human-machine interface module on the drive which can identify and address these fault conditions and which can be used for other functions as well. The 1336F-B040-AA-IT drive operates on a nominal input voltage range of 380 to 480 Volts AC (3-phase) at 50 to 60 Hertz frequency. It also supports a pulse-width modulated (PWM) frequency range of 2 to 6 kilohertz which can be adjusted in 2-kilohertz increments and its nominal PWM frequency rating is 4 kilohertz.
