* The Allen Bradley 1336-B005-EAD-L2 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1336-B005-EAD-L2 units instead of migration.
The 1336-B005-EAD-L2 is a product of Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation and it belongs to the 1336-series of adjustable frequency AC drives. The 1336-B005-EAD-L2 adjustable frequency drive has been tried and tested for shocks of up to 60 Hertz while in operation and its maximum torque reaches up to 20 pounds-on-an-inch. The normal current output of this particular drive is 9.6 Amps, which is better than the output of 1336-B003 drives from the same manufacturer. The noteworthy element of the 1336-B005-EAD-L2 that sets it one step ahead of the 1336-B005 drives is its additional factory-installed option as well as its enclosure type. The EAD enclosure type implies that the Allen-Bradley 1336-B005-EAD-L2 adjustable AC drive features a NEMA Type 1 enclosure with a protection index rating of 20. Such enclosures are meant for indoor use and they guard against solid foreign objects, like falling dirt or objects that are larger than 12 millimeters. Care must be taken to protect the drive from the water because this particular enclosure type is vulnerable to water and other liquids. The enclosure current rating is for 003, 005, 007, and 010 drives.
The adjustable frequency AC drive has an L2 code which indicates that the drive features a logic interface board that operates at +24 Volts DC. The logic interface board makes it easier for the users/operators to rectify system faults without having to disassemble the entire drive. Just connect the drive to the J8 and J9 terminals at the main control board and configure the wiring as per the requirements. Before rectifying the fault, make sure to properly identify the fault. For this purpose, it is recommended to refer to the fault code description table offered by the manufacturer. Moreover, the fault diagnostic procedures with symptoms flowcharts are available to help identify the exact type of fault in the system. Among other basic features, the drive rating “B005” means that the drive has 3 phases and it can operate at the input voltage of 380 Volts AC, 415 Volts AC and 460 Volts AC. At each of the input voltages, it generates different levels of output. It generates 6.3 kVA at 380 Volts AC, 6.9 kVA at 415 Volts AC, and 7.6 kVA at 460 Volts AC. In order to install the drive, or replace or service its components, it is recommended that the drive be disconnected from the power supply and that all precautionary measures, such as wearing a wrist grounding strap and using a DVM or VOM of at least 1000 Volts and a 1336-MOD-E1 module for testing the drive.
