Manufactured by Allen-Bradley, the 1336-B005-EOD-L1 drive is an adjustable frequency AC drive classified as a 1336 series drive. The 1336-B005-EOD-L1 drive features an optional 5 Volts DC TTL logic contact closure interface board. It is supplied with the local control panel that is an optional feature. Therefore, the local control panel can be pre-installed from the factory or added by the users at a later date if necessary. Therefore, when ordering the 1336-B005-EOD-L1 drive, specify if the local control panel should be attached. If not, the unit comes with the blank plate to cover the space where the local control unit can be installed.

The 1336-B005-EOD-L1 drive is specially programmed so that it cannot respond to any unintentional start commands. Therefore, the stop input to the drive should first be set to the “false” setting and then turned to the “true” setting to restart the unit. Note that if the boost setting is too low, the application will not have enough torque to break away the load. If the load is too high, the motor winding might become saturated. To guard the unit against component damage as a result of electrostatic discharge, it is recommended that the users wear a wrist type of grounding strap that is grounded to the chassis of the unit when using it. The wrist strap should be attached before removal of the new circuit board from its conductive packet. In addition, the users should remove the boards from the drive and immediately insert them into the conductive packets to prevent the unit from experiencing component damage due to electrostatic discharge.
