* The Allen Bradley 1336-B020-EAE-FA2-L3-S1 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1336-B020-EAE-FA2-L3-S1 units instead of migration.
The 1336-B020-EAE-FA2-L3-S1 is an adjustable frequency drive manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. The drive belongs to the classic family of 1336 Series drives and it is mostly used in indoor PLC systems. The Allen-Bradley 1336-B020-EAE-FA2-L3-S1 is more sophisticated in terms of functionality than other similar AC drives in the 1336 Series. Starting with the additional, factory installed options, the 1336-B020-EAE-FA2-L3-S1 comes with an “FA2” option which indicates that it is equipped with a basic control panel which is meant specifically for drive enclosures with a protection index rating of 20. Users can view and program parameters using the local display panel, but when the drive is running, parameters can only be viewed, not changed. However, if the programmers wish to change the parameters while the drive is running, they can use a hand-held 1336-MOD-E1 programming terminal and connect it to the drive via the serial port connector. The programming terminal is not included in the package. The Allen-Bradley 1336-B020-EAE-FA2-L3-S1 features a Logic Interface Board which is a time-saving option. The “L3” interface board is available just below the display board on the main control panel and it operates at 115 Volts AC. With the help of the optional “L3” board, the users can modify programs and change the parameters according to the requirements.
The drive enclosure has been certified by the National Electric Manufacturers Association as a Type 1 enclosure. It means that the EAE can protect important components of the drive from falling dirt, and substances larger than 12 millimeters in size. Such enclosures should be used inside the facility because they cannot prevent water, snow, or dust particles from penetrating into the drive. The drive enclosure has a rating of 15 or 20. Coming to the basic features, the most noteworthy feature of the 1336-B020-EAE-FA2-L3-S1 is its drive rating and energy output. The “B” code means that the drive can operate on any of the three input voltages – 380 Volts, 415 Volts, or 460 Volts AC. The AC drive generates 22 kVA at 380 Volts, 24 kVA at 415 Volts, and 26 kVA at 460 Volts AC. The drive rating consists of 3-phase power and it has a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. Care must be taken while servicing the drive or replacing its components because the drive contains complementary metallic oxide semiconductor components. These semiconductors utilize low power and their switching rate is high. So, they are quite sensitive to high voltage electrostatic discharge. It is recommended to use all the safety precautions before handling the 1336-B020-EAE-FA2-L3-S1 adjustable frequency AC drive.
