* The Allen Bradley 1336-B020-EAE-S1 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1336-B020-EAE-S1 units instead of migration.
The 1336-B020-EAE-S1 is a product used in commercial PLC systems. It is an adjustable frequency AC drive manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. Adjustable frequency AC drives can be used indoors and outdoors, depending upon their specifications and configurations, and the Allen-Bradley 1336-B020-EAE-S1 is meant for indoor use. Since the 1336-B020-EAE-S1 belongs to the classic family of the 1336 series, it offers limited functionality and features. However, it offers an optional serial port connector (S1) which allows the users to connect a hand-held terminal known as the 1336-MOD-E1 and changes the parameters during operation. The S1 option is quite handy because it reduces the overall downtime. The Allen-Bradley 1336-B020-EAE-S1 features a NEMA (National Electric Manufacturers Association) Type 1 enclosure which is meant for indoor use. The enclosure has been given the protection index rating of 20 which means that it can provide sufficient protection against solid particles of a size larger than 12 millimeters. However, the drive components are vulnerable against water or small dust particles. So, it is recommended that the AC drive should be used in in-house arrangements where there are no chances of water or dust penetration.
As far as the basic features are concerned, the 1336-B020-EAE-S1 has an energy rating of “B” which means that the drive is suitable to run with an input voltage of 380 Volts, 415 Volts, or 460 Volts AC. At these input voltages, the Allen-Bradley 1336-B020-EAE-S1 drive produces an output energy of 22 kVA, 24 kVA, and 26 kVA, respectively. Moreover, the AC drive sustains shocks of up to 60 Hertz and it has a maximum torque rating of 2.3 N-m (or 325 ounces on an inch). As the AC drive consists mostly of high-voltage components, it is recommended that the 75 degrees Celsius copper wire should be used that should have a wire size of 16 millimeters (equivalent to 6 American Wire Gauge). All precautions must be followed while handling or servicing the drive as the electrostatic discharge may cause immediate death or severe injury to the users. To remove any component, such as a surge suppressor, bridge rectifier, or capacitors from the main chassis make sure that the drive is disconnected from the power source and the neon sign just below the main control board is not illuminated. Test the +DC and –DC ends of the terminal TB1 and make sure that the terminal TB3 shows 0 volts. Some of the components are made of complimentary metal oxide semiconductors that use very low power but have a high switching rate. Do not remove or replace them without disconnecting the drive from the power source, otherwise, they might get damaged.
