The 1336-C040-EAG is a member of Allen-Bradley’s 1336 series of adjustable frequency AC drives. It works with 500 to 600 Volts AC three-phase power lines. This device is used to control three-phase motors with current ratings up to 45.0 Amps. The 1336-C040-EAG can provide around 38 kW of power at the output side for motors with the power factor of 0.85. The Allen-Bradley 1336-C040-EAG provides a microprocessor controlled PWM signal at the output. Its control logic is based on sensorless vector control or Volts per Hertz motor control. The output frequency changes along with the voltage delivered to the motor, and it goes between 0 and 250 Hertz. The speed reference for the motor is delivered to this AC drive over a 0 to 10 Volts DC analog signal.
The Allen-Bradley 1336-C040-EAG Â is a compact module with 17.50 inches x 34.12 inches x 9.38 inches (445 millimeters x 867 millimeters x 238 millimeters) in overall dimensions. The module has an enclosure that is IP20 rated. This AC drive is equipped with Metal Oxide Varistors (MOV) as a protection mechanism against a power surge in an unbalanced voltage supply system. For installation purposes, users can use unshielded copper cables but do not put them through the same conduit together with the communication cables or with the encoder feedback wires. This is to prevent signal interference and to maintain reliable drive functioning. Use only shielded cables for the connection of sensitive circuits and devices to the drive. The storage temperature range for this drive is -40 to 85 degrees Celsius (-40 to 185 degrees Fahrenheit) and it is proven to work faultlessly at an air temperature of less than 40 degrees Celsius (104 degrees Fahrenheit).
