The Allen-Bradley SP-140558 Fan Kit with a C8 Capacitor is a replacement fan kit that is available from the Allen-Bradley Bulletin 1336 series of drives and general-purpose drive accessories. This fan assembly is located behind and below the base driver mounting plate in the host 1336 drive. The SP-140558 Fan Kit with a C8 Capacitor is designed for the Bulletin 1336 Classic Drives with constant torque ratings. It is compatible with the drives specifically with ratings from 380 Volts AC to 480 Volts AC or 500 Volts AC to 575 Volts AC voltage, 158 Amps to 210 Amps (the C150 to C200 drives) or 218 to 290 Amps (the B150 to B200 drives) of current, and 4.3 Kilo Volt-Amps to 231 Kilo-Volt-Amps of output power. The 1336 Drive series fan assembly comprises a fan housing, an air funnel, a fan bracket, the fan itself, and the fan wires.

To install the Allen-Bradley SP-140558 Fan Kit with a C8 Capacitor, remove the power from the drive. Wait for the bus indicator light to turn off and check for zero voltage at the terminal base terminal TB1. Remove the base driver mounting plate from the drive and detach the 0 Volt and 115 Volts wires from the terminal block. Unscrew the screws fastening the fan housing to the drive’s chassis and pull the fan housing away. From the open side of the fan housing, detach all wires at the adjustable grommet. Unscrew the screws holding the air funnel to the inside of the fan housing. Detach the horizontal fan bracket. Slide the fan out of the fan housing and detach the wires from the fan capacitor stake-on connectors. Attach the new SP-140558 Fan Kit with a C8 Capacitor and repeat the steps for the removal of the old fan in the reverse order.
