The Allen-Bradley SP-140568 Inductor DC Bus Kit is an accessory or replacement part for the drives in the Allen-Bradley 1336 adjustable frequency drives series. The Allen-Bradley 1336 drives incorporate microprocessor control and digital programming capabilities for precise and repeatedly accurate control, setup, and operation functions. The 1336 drives are designed to control all kinds of 3-phase induction motors and they are employed in a wide variety of industrial applications. They generate a 3-phase Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) adjustable output frequency to produce the adjustable motor speed. A 1336 drive’s output voltage is a function of its output frequency, which is adjustable to match motor parameters and to obtain optimum motor performance. The 1336 drive series offers flexible programming and configuration via local or remote control panel or through an embedded serial communication port with optional handheld programmers.
The Allen-Bradley SP-140568 Inductor DC Bus Kit from the 1336 series is supplied as an assembly consisting of a DC bus inductor, fastening screws, and some installation sheets. It is installed on the left-most side of the 1336 drive chassis. The SP-140568 Inductor DC Bus Kit is installed on the main chassis via the following steps: turn off power to the drive and wait for the Bus indicator light labeled “DS1” to go off. Check for zero voltage at the -DC and +DC terminals of the terminal block labeled “TB1.” Remove the screw and the wires that are connected to the old SP-140568 Inductor DC Bus Kit and detach it from the main chassis. Replace the old kit with the new SP-140568 Inductor DC Bus Kit and reconnect the screws, wires, and other parts that have been removed before turning the power back on.
