The SP-151170 board is a base driver board that has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This part has been included in the Allen-Bradley 1336 replacement parts catalog and it is meant to be used with the variable frequency drives from the Allen-Bradley 1336 series, specifically those that come with the B050 specifications. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation SP-151170 base driver board contains the specific terminal blocks that are in charge of providing high and low voltage to different parts of the host drive. This voltage is conducted through the TB4 and TB6 terminal blocks and it is meant to feed the main control board, the SCANport, the HMI if one is included, different encoders, and the precharge boards, among other things. The TB6 terminal block can also be used to power the high-voltage power supply which at the same time powers the inverter IGBT drive voltage.
The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 1336 SP-151170 base driver board is installed inside the drive that hosts it. It can be easily located from the front part of the drive and it needs to be replaced only when it wears out after long-term use. Malfunctioning in this board may be caused by different failures such as DSP Checksum, EE Init Read, and EEprom Checksum errors, among others. The failures may be cleared by replacing the malfunctioning driver board. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation SP-151170 base driver board comes with a power supply PCB kit that is in charge of powering different parts of the drive alongside the driver board. This replacement part does not come with any kind of enclosure or protection. The host drive will provide sufficient protection to the board through the enclosure that it comes in.
