About SP-140554
The Allen-Bradley SP-140554 Ground Sense (GND) Current Transducer Kit is an assembly kit from the Bulletin 1336VT Classic Drives Series. The SP-140554 Current Transducer Kit serves as a replacement for the 1336VT Drive’s GND sense current transformer module. The GND sense current transducer module is located on the left side of the drive’s main chassis, close to the F1 Bus fuse. The SP-140554 Current Transducer Kit, like most 1336 series accessories, is supplied as an assembly kit. The SP-140554 Current Transducer Kit is designed to detect an uneven or imbalanced current in the 3-phase AC line or DC bus of the drive. This current imbalance indicates an output ground fault condition that is relayed to the drive processor. The SP-140554 Current Transducer Kit is built for use with the 1336 Classic drives with input voltage ratings from 380 to 480 Volts AC and from 500 to 575 Volts AC.
The Allen-Bradley SP-140554 Ground Sense (GND) Current Transducer Kit is also designed for 1336VT drives with current ratings of 6 to 290 Amps (the B003 to B200 drives) or 158 to 210 Amps (the C150 to C200 drives), and with output power from 4.3 to 231 Kilo-Volt-Amps (KVA). The SP-140554 Current Transducer Kit is located on the drive’s main chassis just above the main control component. To install the SP-140554 Ground Sense Current Transducer Kit, first, turn off the power from the drive and wait for the Bus indicator light labeled as the “DS1” light to turn off. Disconnect the old GND sense current transducer connector (connector J8) from the base driver board. Disconnect cables from the TB1 Terminal’s L1, L2, and L3 connections. Remove the 2 fastening screws holding the old GND sense current transducer on the main chassis and slide the old sense current transducer off the base of the terminal base wires. Insert the new SP-140554 Ground Sense Current Transducer, secure it in place with the screws, replace all the disconnected wires, and reconnect the power.
