The SP-140584 kit is a bridge rectifier kit that is fully compatible with the Bulletin 1336VT line of drives in the 1336 series of variable frequency AC drives by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. Variable frequency drives are used in applications that require the control of a variable speed motor. The functioning of these drives consists of varying the frequency of the motor and thus, accelerating and decelerating its speed. The SP-140584 bridge rectifier kit is compatible with the drives that have the B150 and B200 specifications. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation SP-140584 bridge rectifier kit is used in 2 different locations on the drive to provide its performance to different components of the drive. The main function of this kit is to convert the current from one type to another, for example, from AC to DC, so it can be used properly for the current application. The kit is used in the main chassis of the drive and the bottom of the heatsink. Three kits are required per drive.

The users can determine whether it is time to replace a rectifier with the Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation SP-140584 bridge rectifier kit through different methods, although the most recommended method is to replace the old rectifier during maintenance operations and to check it frequently to see if it is working at its full power. The checking and maintenance need to be done by a qualified technician since it is a complex process where the voltage needs to be at zero and all the components need to be neutralized of electrostatic discharge since these components could cause damages if they are not properly discharged. The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation SP-140584 bridge rectifier kit can be installed in drives that operate with a voltage range of 380 and 420 Volts AC and with an output current rating of 218 and 290 Amps.
