The Allen-Bradley 1395-A61-C1-P12-X1 regenerative drive has a voltage of 230V AC, 50/60 Hz., three-phase, with AC line fuses. It also has 0.75 (1) kW (HP) power and a standard contactor. This regenerative drive has a rating of 0.75-11 (1-15) kW (HP). It has an optional port called Port A which is a digital reference adapter rated at 24V DC. The armature bridge of 1395-A61-C1-P12-X1 drive consists of an AC line reactor which is used to guard against the system disturbance when connecting the drive directly to the distribution system. An AC reactor is not necessary when an isolation transformer that is used is matched to the unit rating.

The armature bridge also has a synchronization part. Fuses F4, F5, and F6 are used to tap and fuse the three-phase input to the drive. After it has been tapped and fused, it enters the feedback’s board. Before the feedback board is sent to the power stage interface, it scales down the voltage. At the power stage interface, it is used to develop the synchronizing information so that it can be used by the main control board. The AC current feedback allows information to be received by the feedback from the current feedback.

The feedback board of the 1395-A61-C1-P12-X1 drive performs other functions including scaling down the voltage just before it is transmitted to the power stage interface and also rectifying the three-phase feedback. The DC voltage which represents the current feedback is passed directly to the main control board via the power stage interface. The surge suppression that the 1395-A61-C1-P12-X1 contains provides protection to the armature power bridge so that it doesn’t get destroyed or affected by line surges and high voltage line spikes. It also has line chokes which run from CH2 through CH7. These are used to provide protection in each of the six legs of the power bridge SCRs from a current which changes at a rapid rate.
