The drive comes with a 115 Volts AC discrete adapter (Port A). Adapter boards provide an interface between the main control board on the 1395 drive and external devices. The discrete adapter board allows the 1395 drive to be controlled by devices such as relays, pushbuttons, potentiometers, and analog signals. Features available on the discrete adapter include 4 discrete inputs, 2 discrete contact outputs, 4 analog inputs, 4 analog outputs, and a DC power supply.

Discrete inputs on the 1395-A68N-C1-P10 drive can be either 24 Volts DC or 120 Volts AC and it can be programmed. The discrete contact outputs can be programmed to any of 16 logic levels.
