* The Allen Bradley 1395-A74-C4-P50 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1395-A74-C4-P50 units instead of migration.
The 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive is a 60 Horsepower rated 1395 series regenerative DC drive from Allen-Bradley. The DC contactor on the 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive has a 60 to 75 Horsepower output power rating. A node adapter is part of the drive package and the node adapter connects to Port B on the 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive. The node adapter needs to be configured by the users because it does not come preconfigured. The node adapter is required for applications where the 1395 drive is required to be controlled by an Allen-Bradley PLC3/PLC5 series controller and it acts as an interface between the main drive control board and the external PLC controllers. The programmable functions on the 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive include the preset and jog speeds, the current/tapered current limits, and independent adjustment for the acceleration and deceleration settings. The protective features supported by the 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive include motor overload protection, instantaneous overcurrent protection, field economy protection, and feedback loss protection.
Several custom options are available for the Allen-Bradley 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive. These include adapter boards for adding additional I/Os. The adapter boards are available in AC and DC voltage versions. Digital reference adapter boards are also available which support a digital reference input in addition to several I/Os. A multi-communications adapter board is also available which can be used to connect the 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive with DH+ or RIO links. ControlNet and serial communications modules are also available. An auxiliary contact can also be ordered for special interlocks. The components of the 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive are sensitive to ESD or electrostatic discharge. Allen-Bradley recommends the use of static shielded containers for storing the drive assemblies and components when they are not in use. The maintenance of the 1395-A74-C4-P50 drive should be performed in a static-safe work area. Technicians working on the drive should wear grounded wrist straps to prevent static accumulation and discharge.
