The Allen-Bradley 1395-B69-C1-P10-P51-X1 digital DC drive is an ideal industrial solution for applications where regenerated voltage is common. Applications with constant motor braking, accelerating, and decelerating usually need to reduce the power supplied to motor from time to time. When that happens and the motor is still spinning because of the inertia and the weight of the load, it may start acting as a generator, producing a strong counter-electromotive force that will have no other place to go but to the drive’s DC Bus. Regenerative DC Drives like the Allen-Bradley 1395-B69-C1-P10-P51-X1 drive can return (or regenerate) those incoming voltages back to the AC power source, keeping the application process up and running.

The nominal Horsepower rating of the 1395-B69-C1-P10-P51-X1 drive is 20 Horsepower and it can be supplied with a 3-phase AC voltage in the range from 150 to 460 Volts AC. Some additional features of the Allen-Bradley 1395-B69-C1-P10-P51-X1 drive include a pre-installed 115 Volts AC rated discrete adapter board in Port A of the drive’s microbus interface that enables the drive to be externally controlled by user-configurable elements such as relays, switches, or pushbuttons. For more demanding applications, the Allen-Bradley 1395-B69-C1-P10-P51-X1 drive can also be integrated into Allen-Bradley Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) through a multi-communication adapter attached to Port B of the microbus interface. Another useful feature of this drive is the addition of auxiliary contacts (1 N.O. and 1 N.C.), that give direct control capabilities for the device to control alarms, activate external mechanisms, or apply safety actions depending on the user-configurable parameters.  The drive comes in an open-type of enclosure, so it is necessary to install it in a suitable enclosure to increase its level of environmental protection.
