* The Allen Bradley 1395-B70-C1-P10 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1395-B70-C1-P10 units instead of migration.

The Allen-Bradley 1395-B70-C1-P10 drive is a regenerative version of the 1395 digital DC drive, with a Horsepower rating of 25 Horsepower. It includes a 115 Volts AC discrete adapter board pre-installed in Port A of the microbus interface to serve as a point of connection for external relays, switches, and pushbuttons to the main control board. All the user connections are made at Terminal Block TB-3 located at the bottom of the 1395 drive. With this 115 Volts AC discrete adapter, it is possible for the users to control the STOP, JOG, START and CLEAR FAULT commands from an external operator panel. The Allen-Bradley 1395-B70-C1-P10 drive also includes a standard 2 to 30 Horsepower contactor that is designated as a C1 contactor. Additional accessories for motor control applications such as DC tachometers or encoder drive modules are sold separately. To feed the drive, an AC utility line with a 3-phase voltage range from 150 to 460 Volts AC can be used. The output voltage will vary according to the input it is connected to, and it can have output voltages of 240 Volts DC (for a 230 Volts AC input), 400 Volts DC (for a 380 to 415 Volts AC input), and 500 Volts DC (for a 460 Volts AC input).

Applications with constant acceleration and deceleration at frequent intervals due to motors starting and stopping from time to time normally cause those motors to act as generators in the periods when they are braking. Regenerative drives like the 1395-B70-C1-P10 drive can take the surplus voltages that are generated on those applications and recycle them back to the AC utility line. Less energy being dissipated as heat means reduced expenses and more effective energy utilization in the plant. Electrical elevators, electrical cranes, and downhill conveyors are some of the machines where regenerative voltages are expected to occur and thus they are the ideal applications to install an Allen-Bradley 1395-B70-C1-P10 regenerative DC drive for.
