* The Allen Bradley 1395-B71-C1-P50 has been discontinued by the manufacturer, however we specialize in obsolete parts and can likely still supply surplus and/or refurbished replacement 1395-B71-C1-P50 units instead of migration.
The Allen-Bradley 1395-B71-C1-P50 drive is a 30 Horsepower regenerative version of the Allen-Bradley 1395 digital DC drive. It is factory-equipped with a standard 2 to 30 Horsepower rated contactor, designated as a C1 contactor, and with a node adapter board pre-installed in Port B of the microbus interface. The node adapter board enables the Allen-Bradley 1395-B71-C1-P50 digital DC drive to integrate the drive to advanced control platforms by using Allen-Bradley PLC Controllers from either the PLC3 or the PLC5 family. To supply the necessary power for the drive, any AC utility line with a 3-phase voltage between 150 and 460 Volts AC can be used. The output voltage level will vary according to the input voltage level, and the output levels are 240 Volts DC for a 230 Volts AC input, 400 Volts DC for a 380 to 415 Volts AC input, and 500 Volts DC for a 460 Volts AC input. Additional accessories like encoder drive modules or DC tachometers can be ordered separately to enhance the 1395-B71-C1-P50 drive motor control capabilities.
Applications where regenerative voltages are expected, such as electrical elevators, electrical cranes, electrical hoists, or downhill conveyor applications are excellent applications to implement the Allen-Bradley 1395-B71-C1-P50 regenerative DC drive. For those applications, the 1395-B71-C1-P50 drive saves energy because of its capacity to recover regenerated voltages and send them back to the electrical grid. The Allen-Bradley 1395-B71-C1-P50 drive should be installed in a protected enclosure or in a specially designed room, because of its open construction, in order to safeguard the device against humid or dusty environments. A forced ventilation system with fans and air filters or an enclosure temperature and humidity regulation system would also help to extend the drive’s life and enhance its performance.
