The 1395-B72-C2-P50 digital DC drive is a regenerative digital DC drive by Allen-Bradley that is built for the efficient control of motors in a wide range of industrial applications. This DC drive features micro-computer based control that offers an accurate, precise, and repeated control sequence for high-performance and reliable motor control. The 1395-B72-C2-P50 drive has built-in protection from overcurrent, motor overload, and short-circuit situations (via the fused AC input), and it offers a programmable feedback loss recovery function which provides an automatic switch and prevents the drive from shutting down in the event that the drive’s feedback fails. The 1395-B72-C2-P50 drive also features programmable acceleration/deceleration times, jog speeds, and current limit actions, and it offers a 6:1 speed range control with an encoder.

The 1395-B72-C2-P50 drive has a 3-phase voltage rating of 460 Volts AC at 50/60 Hertz, and an operating voltage range within -/+10% of the rated input voltage. It has an output power rating of 40 Horsepower and a single-phase control voltage rating of 115 Volts AC. It offers a speed regulation of up to 0.001% of the top speed over a 100:1 speed range by using an encoder feedback device, and 0.1% of the top speed by using a DC Tachometer. The 1395-B72-C2-P50 drive has a hardwired 115 Volts AC input that can be configured for the enable/contingency coast stop function, and an RS-422 communication port for remote programming with a programming terminal. The 1395-B72-C2-P50S drive has a 5 Volts DC node adapter board (Port B) option, which provides a direct interface between PLC devices and the drive’s main control board, allowing for control from a PLC controller.
