The Allen-Bradley 1395-B72-C2-P50-X1 regenerative drive operates at a voltage of 460V AC, 50/60 Hz. With a three-phase and AC line fuses, it puts out 30 (40) kW (HP) and features a standard contractor. The 1395-B72-C2-P50-X1 has been incorporated with a node adapter (Port B). It also features an armature pulse transformer and a snubber board which both have the primary functions of providing DV/DT protection across the SCRs and isolating power bridge circuitry from the control circuitry. The armature pulse transformer and snubber boards are 3 in number. Each board has an association with one phase of the incoming AC line.

The board in the 1395-B72-C2-P50-X1 drive has been mounted physically on the armature power bridge busbar. The screw terminal has been used to mount it. The screws used for mounting have a connection with the incoming AC line and DC bus. The DC control voltage distribution feature found in this equipment functions to control voltages and also provides the supply voltage to both the snubber boards and the SCR transformer. This allows it to produce SCR gate signals which are required for field and armature. Its main control board has been interfaced with external control devices such as a PLC and discrete operator devices.

The microbus featured in the Allen-Bradley 1395-B72-C2-P50-X1 is a 60-line bus that has been designed for the transfer of data between microprocessors. The hardware on the main control board is capable of allowing the transfer of data between external devices and the microprocessor on the main control board through the two microbus ports.
