The 1395-B77-C4-P11 module from Allen Bradley stands as a digital DC drive featuring sophisticated microprocessor technology. It excels in regenerative applications, rated for 125 horsepower, allowing for efficient energy recovery during operation. The device accommodates a flexible input voltage range that spans from 150 to 460 VAC in three-phase configurations and 115 VAC in single-phase for control tasks, thereby versatile in various setups.

Its output DC voltage can be configured to 240, 400, or 500 volts, contingent on the input specifications. Delivering continuous output currents from 36 to 980 amperes allows the 1395 drive to meet extensive operational requirements. The field output ranges between 120 and 300 VDC, capable of handling electrical demands from 150 mA to a maximum of 40 A effectively.

The drive provides impressive overload capabilities, including 150% for one minute, 200% for ten seconds, and 260% for five seconds, underlining its resilience during sudden demands in current. For speed regulation, it achieves exceptional performance, maintaining precision of 0.01% at a 10:1 ratio and an even finer resolution of 0.001% at a 100:1 ratio.

Inside, the armature converter employs a 12-SCR full-wave regenerative design, further enhancing its operational efficiency. The drive incorporates discrete I/O with four inputs that operate at 24 or 120 volts and includes two dry relay outputs, as well as four analog inputs and outputs, both rated at ±10 V.

For robust signal processing, the encoder feedback utilizes a dual-channel system operating at 12 V and isolated at a frequency of 102.5 kHz, ensuring reliable performance. Communication is facilitated through RS-422 ports, with optional Remote I/O (RIO) or Data Highway Plus (DH+) capabilities available. Additionally, a discrete 24 VDC adapter is installed on Port A, expanding its functionality.

The acceleration and deceleration ranges of the drive can be finely tuned between 1 second and 6554 seconds, allowing for smooth adjustments based on application needs.
