The SP-145479 is a discrete adapter bard that is used with the 1395 Digital DC drive by Allen-Bradley. This module is mounted is used to provide an I/O interface, allowing the drive to be operated via external input devices and energize electrical loads. The SP-145479 comes with a variety of I/O terminals such as Four (4) 115 VAC, 10 mA programmable, optically isolated discrete inputs; Two (2) programmable relay outputs rated 0.6 Amperes at 125 VAC and 2.0 Amperes at 30 VDC; Four (4) 12-bit +/-10 VDC analog inputs and Four (4) +/-10 VDC analog outputs. The SP-145479 connects to the main control board of the host drive through the board’s Port A or Port B, interfacing to the internal Microbus interface. Connection to the main control board is made via the J1 connector of the module which uses a 60-pin ribbon connector. Other connections made to the discrete adapter board include digital I/O hardware connection via J3 using 12 discrete wires; Connection to analog I/O hardware via J4 using 20 discrete wires and serial I/O connection via J6 using 9-pin ribbon cable. The SP-145479 is also provided with factory set jumpers such as J5 and J2 which are not intended to be altered. When installing the SP-145479, the host drive must be without power in order to attach the board connections that need to be made to the main control board. In addition, an electronic component is highly sensitive to electrostatic discharge therefore, proper grounding and anti-electrostatic devices must be used when handling the discrete adapter board.

The SP-145479 1395 Digital DC Drive Discrete Adapter Board by Allen-Bradley is a hardware component of the 1395 Digital DC drive that connects directly to the main control board of the 1395 Drive using Port A of the Main Control Board MICRO BUS interface. The SP-145479 has 4 optically-coupled digital inputs of either 24V DC or 120V AC input voltage which are factory pre-configured for 4 input signals (STOP, JOG, CLEAR FAULT, and START) and 2 discrete dry relay outputs with a contact rating of 0.6A at 125V AC and of 0.2A at 30V DC and they are also factory pre-configured for 3 output signals (DRIVE, RUNNING, and AT ZERO SPEED). The adapter has 4 programmed 12-bit A/C analog inputs with 0 to +/-10V DC input voltage and an input impedance of 20K ohms and it allows for the conversion of the +/- 10VDC analog signal to +/- 2048 digital signal and it is also pre-configured for 3 analog input signals (VELOCITY REFERENCE, TACH VELOCITY, TRIM REFERENCE). The SP-145479 also has 4 programmed, 11-bit D/A, analog outputs with –10-10V DC, 1mA (min) input ratings and an output impedance of 200 ohms and it is pre-configured for 4 analog output signals (VELOCITY FEEDBACK, FIELD CURRENT FEEDBACK, ARMATURE CURRENT FEEDBACK, and ARMATURE VOLTAGE FEEDBACK). The SP-145479 requires a -10-10V DC power supply at 4mA for external use and it is built to function at a temperature range of 0-55 deg. C (32 - 130 deg. F) at 5-95% non-condensing relative humidity.
