1397-B010R-HAB is a Digital DC Drive from Allen Bradley, designed as a reliable, compact, and cost-saving solution for DC applications. Designed to make setup and maintenance easy, this drive can be configured and operational with few setup parameters and no linking. It can easily operate and connect with other automated systems. The 1397-B010R-HAB employs modern digital speed regulator and current regulator algorithms to provide efficient and exact DC motor control. It supplies more torque in tougher conditions than most drives in its category.  The temperature inside the drive’s cabinet must be set at 55 degrees Celsius; this drive can supply 150% overload for one minute. As a space saving feature, this drive uses normal AC line fuses, and most of its options are installed directly on the mount or on the chassis.

Communication with other devices is established by the 1397-B010R-HAB using its built-in SCANport™ interface. This drive can connect to any Allen Bradley PLC by remote I/O, using a 1203-GD1/GK1 module. This 1203-GD2/GK2 module enables communication with a serial device such as RS-232/422/485 devices, using DFI Protocol. The 1203-FBI base and 1203-FM1 module allow connection to a wide range of Flex™ I/O network adapters. With the 1203-SM1 communication module, the drive is enabled to connect to the SLC™ 500 family of programmable controllers.  The 1397-B010R-HAB can have up to five interfaces connected to it. It is rated at 460 Volts AC and it has an output voltage of 7.5 kW at 10 HP.  It has an armature voltage of 500 Volts DC and a field voltage of 300 Volts DC, along with ten digital 24 Volt DC inputs, two analog reference inputs, and three contact outputs; in addition, its I/O capability can be enhanced by adding an optional expansion board that contains five digital inputs, two logic outputs, two analog inputs, two analog outputs, one pulse train input, and one output. This drive does not have a Human-Module Interface (HMI); it is, however, UL listed and certified by the CSA and the IEC.
