The Allen-Bradley 1397-B010R-HAP-L11 digital DC drive is a compact, regenerative drive from 1397 series of DC drives. It has 460 Volts AC of input voltage, 50/60 Hertz of input frequency, and 10 Horsepower of Horsepower output. It has 500 Volts DC of armature voltage and 19 Amps of armature current. The DC field voltage and current ratings of the drive are 300 Volts DC and 10 Amps, respectively.  The 1397-B010R-HAP-L11 DC drive comes with an I/O expansion cord as a control option. It has a programmer-only human-machine interface option. The human-machine interface shows programming and diagnostics information in plain text. Its diagnostic features detect and trip the drive in situations such as motor over speed, over temperature, and open motor armature.

The 1397-B010R-HAP-L11 DC drive has programming and diagnostic features that allow the users to set up and maintain the drive easily. For fast startup and precise motor control, the speed loops and the digital current of the drive can be tuned automatically. The drive has a keypad for the drive setup process, including the unit selection and diagnostics functions. The parameter values of the drive can be reconfigured by using the human-machine interface module. It has 2 analog reference inputs and one analog tachometer feedback as analog inputs. These inputs are converted to 12 bits plus signs at their full range. It has 2 metering analog outputs at the regulator board terminals. The advantages of the 1397-B010R-HAP-L11 DC drive include fast performance, linear speed-torque curves, and durability. If more than 2 SCANport modules are used with the 1397 drive, an additional 24 Volts DC power supply must be installed, or a 115 Volts SCANport module must be used.
