The regenerative Allen-Bradley 1397-B015R-HA2 is a digital DC drive that belongs to the 1397 series and it is equipped with a programmer/controller with digital pot human interface option (HIM). It features an input voltage of 460V AC and an HP rating made up of 11 kW and 15 HP. The nominal line frequency of this drive is 50 or 60 cycles per second and it comes with a frequency variation of -2 and +2 cycles of the nominal frequency. At 15 HP, the 1397-B015R-HA2 drive has a full-load rated RMS AC line current of 24 A, a minimum source of 20 kVA, and a power source capacity of 5000 A. Users can place this drive inside a cabinet or chassis that is corrosive-free and does not have any interference (specifically both electrical and electromagnetic noise), acidic or caustic vapors, dust, shock, vibration, and dirt. The 1397-B015R-HA2 drive should also not be exposed to extreme temperatures and its ambient temperatures should only be 55 °C maximum if placed in a chassis and 40 °C maximum inside a cabinet.

 

This drive comes with a rated load and speed that consists of an 88% typical displacement power factor and a 98.6% drive efficiency for the drive itself and an 85% typical drive efficiency for both the drive and motor. It also comes with a 5% minimum load, which relies on the drive’s rated load, as well as a continuous service factor of 1. Up to 3 drives are supported by the 1397-B015R-HA2 drive’s AC line in a single transformer. This drive also has overload capacities that depend on the duration, namely 150% of the full load rating for 1 minute and 200% of the full load rating for 13 seconds.
