The 1397-B030R-HA2-PE drive is a regenerative DC drive that has been manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This drive employs a voltage of 460 Volts AC and a normal duty output power rating of 22 Kilowatts (30 Horsepower). The frequency consists of 50 to 60 cycles per second with a variation rating of +/- 2%. The logic input circuits of the Allen-Bradley 1397-B030R-HA2-PE regenerative DC drive need to be powered through an internal or external power supply rated at 24 Volts DC voltage. An internal power supply with this rating is available and it is located at the regulator board. The turn-on voltage of this power supply needs to be at least 8 Volts DC and the turn off current needs to be 0.5 milliamps.

The Allen-Bradley 1397-B030R-HA2-PE regenerative DC drive has been designed with an open chassis, so a proper enclosure must be selected for protection. The selection of this enclosure must be based on the environmental conditions around the drive. It is important to install the drive in an extremely clean location without the presence of corrosive and abrasive vapors and substances. The Allen-Bradley 1397-B030R-HA2-PE regenerative DC drive comes with additional features such as a programmer and controller with a digital pot and a pulse encoder kit. The drive must be mounted in a vertical position and clearances of 2 to 5 inches (depending on the side) need to be left around it to allow proper ventilation. The drive and the motor need to be included in a grounding system, mainly to limit dangerous voltages that cause damages to the exposed parts if an electrical fault occurs.
