The current rating of the blower motors that will be started with this device is between 2.8 and 4.0 Amps. This electromagnetically operated device is intended to start and stop a connected blower motor and it combines the functionality of a contactor and an overload protector. The overload relay dial in the 1397-MB040 blower motor starter should be adjusted to the full load current that is specified on the blower motor’s nameplate to guarantee the effective protection of the motor.



 



Only experienced electrical technicians should be trusted with performing the installation and maintenance work on the 1397 DC drives and accessories. Precautions should be taken when installing or servicing the 1397-MB040 blower motor starter since it can handle high levels of energy that can cause electrical shock, personal injuries, and even death.
