The 2361-SPG01A spare parts kit manufactured by Allen-Bradley is an SCR armature power controller kit. It is designed for permanent magnet (PM) and shunt-wound motors which are found in many industrial applications. Due to the SCR power controller’s immense power and handling capacity, this kit comes with replaceable motor-generator sets and magnetic frequency multipliers made to generate high frequency at massive power ratings. It features an AC line terminal rated at 115 Volts AC input voltage with a Horsepower output rating of 1.5 Horsepower and 90 Volts DC controlled output voltage. The controller has an adjustable acceleration type of start functionality that allows for the smooth acceleration of the motor from zero speed to maximum speed within a time frame of 0.2 to 10 seconds. The parts in the 2361-SPG01A SCR armature power controller kit are designed to ensure that it will supply enough torque to ensure that the motor is not overloaded, and a series of armatures is connected to the DC ammeter to ensure that the load current does not surpass the current rating on the motor nameplate.
It is a requirement for the Allen-Bradley SCR controller that the Allen-Bradley 2361-SPG01A SCR armature power controller kit is made to be mounted on a flat surface with enough ventilation space around it and with enough room for AC line wiring and connectors to be made securely. Additionally, this controller should not be exposed to extreme or hazardous conditions or it will be prone to physical damage. The covering that protects the SCR control should be large enough to allow for heat dissipation to maintain the ambient temperature within the range of -20 degrees Celsius to 40 degrees Celsius. Alternatively, the auxiliary heatsink can be used to mount the controller with parts from the 2361-SPG01A SCR armature power controller kit correctly so that there is no restriction to the airflow through the cooling fins. The ground connection is possible by connecting the earth wire to the control chassis.
